Very succulent and lush, bold upfront fruits. Such an incredible treat. Thank you @Shawn R I only got a small pour and I felt like stealing someone’s glass to get more.

Bourgogne Gran Cru Appellation Contrôlée 2005, which is supposed to be a great year., 13.5%. Bottle tasted in September 2014. Good color, interesting nose, needs time to open-up. Still fresh in the mouth, has potential for long aging.

What a great wine. Like the occasional golf shot that goes far and straight for me, this one will keep me coming back to Burgundy.

This was Wednesday’s WOTN for me. Some seriously great wines next to it, but this was most aligned with my palate. Funk, band-aide, and earth perfectly offset by juicy red berry fruit. 2005 vintage is singing here. @Shawn R Thank you brother.
