So. This happened.

Delicious! A bit of Brussels sprouts with deep red fruit.

Clos Vougeot at its greatest.

2002 vintage.

Pretty red fruit. Rounded and supple. Good length with acid you notice

Cloudy color. Floral, sour cherries and raspberries, slightly candied but not to the extent of the CdV Musigny that followed after. A bit of earthiness as well. Very well balanced, moderate acidity, long finish. Surprised by the revealing. Best Clos Vougeot I've had so far.

Wonderful well balanced Pinot that holds its flavor profile for a long time in the glass. It eventually resolved into cherries.
