The 2016 Irancy Fut de Chêne has a bright red cherry and cranberry bouquet with touches of pressed flowers - perhaps a hint of iris. The well-balanced palate offers a fine bead of acidity and gently gripping tannins, then delivers clean blackberry and wild strawberry fruit laced with brine toward the finish. Excellent. Tasted blind at the BIVB Chablis tasting. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2018)
