It’s okay. Medium to light bodied. Nothing exciting with smell. Taste is very peppery. Can tell oak cask. But it feels like young oak? I agree with label- powerful attack. That’s the pepper, but then it doesn’t finish with much. Feels very one note without a rounded finish.

full bodied, bold, smooth with soft tannins. very nice and well balanced. considering the price, it’s perfect!!!
cherry, oak, leather, vanilla, red fruits and earthy flavors. nice, complex wine.

I’m not actually at Finca Cortesin, but just across the street. I would suspect that this wine doesn’t get past the gate guard, but I’m extremely enjoying this under 10€ bottle at a local supermarket. Restaurants should up their game by putting wines like this on their wine list.
