Bold & Fearless Aged in Bourbon Barrels for 3 Months Red Blend
This red blend smells not too heavily of the Kentucky Bourbon barrels that are billed as the difference-maker. The aroma is there, but ripe, deep red fruit claims center stage. The aromatic notes of leather, vanilla, caramel and chocolate are there, but they play supporting roles. On the palate, there's a hint of bourbon, but it's not overplayed at all. The wine is big - let’s not undersell it, it's huge - but it's a fun drink if you're into that trip.

Jul 13th, 2019I really enjoyed all the flavor notes of this red blend! It had just the right amount of dark fruit, oak, and spice. The bourbon aging did not overpower, but instead, added to the flavor profile of this wine. Enjoyed this wine with a great steak. It was perfect!

Feb 20th, 2019What a fun wine. Dark black fruit on the nose continue with hints of vanilla, chocolate, stewed plums and raisins on the palate up front with a lingering bourbon finish. The wine has a lighter body with leathery tannins and a smoky finish. As it opens up, Red Cherry starts to come to the forefront
I’ve had bourbon barrel aged wines that scream bourbon and alcohol and while this one has the bourbon notes, it’s not overbearing like many others.
It does pack a punch at 15.9% ABV
Price $18
Tipsy Grapes Rating 89
