Familia Zuccardi
Q Valle de Uco Malbec
Dark ruby in color with a short purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, barnyard, black currants, plums, bell pepper, oak, licorice, cloves earth, vegetables, graphite, spices, bitter herbs and black pepper.
Full bodied with Medium acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with plums, black currants, bitter vegetables, herbs, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth, leather, tobacco leaf, cloves and peppercorn.
Medium minus on the finish with soft tannins and bitter vegetable.
This Argentinian Malbec from Valle de Uco is still young. Drinkable, but way too earthy with lots of bitter vegetable notes.
Needs a few hours of decanting, which I didn't have, and therefore I enjoyed it much less than I expected.
Better with food than all by itself. Would pair well with BBQ Meats or lamb.
14% alcohol by volume.
82 Points.
