Fattoria Le Pupille (Elisabetta Geppetti)
Saffredi Maremma Toscana Super Tuscan Blend
Having it on Coravin for many weeks now and the final two glasses finally got rid of the (for me disturbing) acids.
will not touch other bottles for 5 years.

Well that is interesting.......
Having drunk this bottle using Coravin in 5 months. Normally I would not take that much time but as the first few glasses were rather disappointing to me I was not in a hurry.
So here we are, 5 months after the first we are enjoying the final 2 glasses. Nose full of raisins and fig. Some mint. In the mouth there is more balance. More roundness.....
Sweet and acidity in balance.
Having said all of this, I still will not open a bottle again the next two years and now it scores 90/100.....

I dont know what it is with this wine. Perhaps it is just this bottle. The tar is too dominant in it. It doesnt open up. Some of the sweeter aroma’s are pushed aside.
I will not open any bottle for the next two years.
