Tannat is one of the most tannic grapes, if not thee most tannic grape. However, this 2012 from Finca showed nicely without rough tannins.

On the nose, ripe, ruby, elegant, dark floral fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, blueberries, black plum and raspberries on the edges. Some black licorice, rich, dark, sweet soil, sweet dry top soil, vanilla, mocha, caramel and beautifully fragrant lavender, blue flowers and violets.

On the palate, the body is full. The tannins firm, tarry and sticky. Ripe, ruby, elegant, dark floral fruits of; blackberries, black raspberries, blueberries, black plum, raspberries on the edges. Some black licorice, rich, dark, sweet soil, sweet dry top soil, vanilla, mocha, caramel and beautifully fragrant lavender, blue flowers and violets.

Photos of, Finca Decero. Birdseye view of our finished tasting. Our terrace view from our table. The rear Estate vines with the prodigious Andes Mountains in the Background. Still in Mendoza and not tired of that view a bit.
