Really cool stuff...nose of maturing Syrah, currant jam, cedar. Inky with minimal rim gradation. Palate is fruit/tannin up front with northern Rhone gentility on the end. Soy sauce, roasted meat, iron, leather. We last had this four years ago and it’s still going strong. Worth tracking down.

Fascinating. Soy sauce, leather, pepper nose. On the palate it's silky dark fruit and an odd astringent tannic note that crescendoes with the finish. To borrow Luca Turin's analogy, this wine is more Kaa the Snake than Baloo the Bear, and how you feel about that is a good predictor of how you'll find this wine.
