The Dao region’s unique low fertility granite soil and cold, wet winters and very dry, hot summers produce grapes with incomparable flavor and unique character. The resulting color of this wine is a deep ruby with complex aromas. The forward notes are of red fruit with medium tannins. This wine does really well with aging, as it softens with time. It is highly recommended to decant and allow this wine to breathe- it will open up beautifully with exposure to air. Pairs wonderfully with lamb and beef. We highly recommend drinking with flavorful, hard cheeses as the wine will become incredibly expressive."
