Dark, brooding, 14.5 % Pinot. Smoke, tobacco, pencil lead notes. In other words hefty oak influence. You can taste the alcohol…. Drinks more like a Syrah. Ripe, black fruit, but none of the cherry I expect from Pinot Noir. Glad this was gifted, because this @$100 wine is certainly a disappointment to me. Mighty long way from Burgundy.
