Monasterio de las Viñas Crianza Cariñena Tempranillo Blend

Pretty dark garnet with opaque ruby rim. Invasive nose of Charleston Chew and raspberry and blackberry liquour. Enters the palate somewhat shy. It opens up but this wine is a little hollow. Seems a little watered down, even. Meaningless flavors appear first. I want to say cardboard, but the wine is not corked. Couldn't be, as the enclosure is synthetic cork. The wine comes alive again in the third quarter with some sour cherry acidity. Ironically, this wine has pretty good length, thus also an appreciable finish. Maybe that is why Parker gave it 89, but all this structure is not showing you much fruit. It's unbalanced. Some coffee bean and spices show with the finish. From me 84 pts.

I get the feeling I'll be enjoying most of the spicy reds on offer in Spain and @ €3 with 89 points from some Parker bloke, we are set.

12$ bon petit vin fruité, nez vanille, épicé avec une petite acidité en bouche, texture presque grasse et final soutenue

Нос из чёрных ягод, голубика, ежевика, спелая черная смородина и черешня на фоне. Чуть корицы и кожи, лакрица тоже есть. Во вкусе неплохая кислотность, довольно мощные, но аккуратные танины, черноплодка, все сбалансировано. Отличное вино за свою цену. Можно было даже и не пить еще несколько лет.

Чуть попроще, чем grand reserva. 270 рублей в пятерочке.

A lil too much on the strong side for our taste but would probably go wonderful with an aged red meat

Not dry, good flavour. Not overpowering. Nice wine.

It makes for very good company on work evenings. Not too acidic, good spicy and burnt aromas.
