Hugel et Fils
Cuvée Les Amours Alsace Pinot Blanc

2013v. It's HOT out, so I turned to a cool wine from the mountains of Alsace. Very understated nose of Asian pear, honey, and mineral earth. The wine really stretches out on the palette: lemon, lime, quince, and traces of pineapple. Most notable, though, is graphite/chalk/wet concrete that stands out particularly with food. Refreshing acidity, that is well rounded most likely due to a little age. Dry. Nice QPR. 12% ABV.
