Pretty unconvincing. I really can't figure out why this is sparkling, apart from to mask the lack of acidity. Overripe toffee apples on the nose and sherbet on the palate. Glaringly lacking in acidity, I would have guessed that this was a much older Austrian Neüberger (or a similarly weak varietal - Vidal fits this bill), if it we're served blind. How the price can possibly be justified is beyond me.
