J & HA Strub
Silvaner Feinherb
2017 vintage. Seemingly dry with yellow apple, green pear, lemon peel, hay, chamomile, yellow plum. PG drinkers would find a lot to like here.

Nov 21st, 2020On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, the youths (mostly college)! Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading one operatic work from WAGNER (Die Walküre, Act II & III). This is our WAGNER weekend with the BSO, Act I was performed last night.
Citrus pith both dry and fresh, cold yellow apple, light green herbs, dry granite and light tangelo on the medium finish. (Note to self, buy this again!)

2017 vintage. Clean and crystalline structure. Rounder than Riesling. Yellow apple, green pear, distinctive sweet pea note, chamomile, blanched almond. Almost as though Riesling meets Chenin Blanc.

Jun 16th, 2019Begins with loads of tropical fruits, guava & passionfruit, with hints of crushed gravel on the nose. The palate is full of juicy peach with notes of lemon zest and a lingering effervescence. Perfect pairing with fresh pesto chicken pasta, and although this was my first time having a Silvaner wine, I'lll definitely be seeking it out in the future! ($10) [3/22/21]
