Pound for Pound, these aromatic whites from Alto Adige would compete with any geography on the big stage if they weren't tucked away so quietly in their little Dolomite pocket of earth. Golden butterscotch, lychee, syrupy canned yellow peaches, candied lemon and dill. Voluptuous and hot, but heat I can handle on a cold night (14.5% ABV). A fatty mouth finds solace in a smidge of acid. For cellar temp drinking.
