Stunning cabernet franc with enchanting aromatics of bell pepper, fresh blackberries, and menthol. High acid and silky tannins made this wine dance across the palate. Only wish I had more 😭

Wow. Daniel Kozaczuk brought this for a blind tasting. I actually guessed the region and varietal but was off by 20 years or so! A glorious wine. Sadly a little past it's prime when tasting but still very enjoyable. The nose was capsaicin and green peppers to a huge degree. Probably more than I have ever smelled in a wine. A little tobacco at the smell near the end. On the taste the initial fruit level has declined sadly. Some red fruits soft and reserved. Red earth or almost a rust bote and into some beautiful green peppers note at end. A little red earth at the end. Glorious and a privilege to have such an interesting wine. Sadly I don't know as much as I could about red Loire producers but if you have it drink it. The nose is truly exceptional
