saw several reviews saying they were drinking well so I opened r up. bright garnet color with cherry and cola on the nose. black cherry and charcoal on the palet. nice mouth feel, dry but well balanced still has some tannin left but I think this is done developing. it's a good wine but for the price and aging I was hoping for more.

Somewhat closed initially, the dark ruby '08 Ken Wright Cellars Pinot Noir 'Carter Vineyard' opened after decanting with bing cherry, damp earth and spice box aromas. Brambly black fruit flavors developed on the palate with tart acidity and oaky tannins. Finished with a pure, clean, rich aftertaste.
