"All smiles" to quote @Mike R ... my purple teeth are shining through. This wine is dark with an explosive nose and palate. Anise and blackberry jump out the most to me. Fruit forward with an extremely dry finish. The tannins are very present but also so well integrated that this is drinking great right out of the gate. It also has the structure for a long sleep. I love Helen's new world take on a typical Rhone varietal.
