1 person found it helpfulMay 18th, 2014Light ruby with rose toned edges. The nose is thick with red raspberry and strawberry, spiked with licorice, and tobacco leaf spice it wanes into medicinal (from the 14% abv?). The palate is light to medium bodied, viscous from the alcohol, with supple, and barely there tannin.

Dec 9th, 20152009. Surprised by the delicate texture of this wine. Dried red fruits, leather, vaguely medicinal. The elevated VA actually lifts the fruit in a pleasant way. My only issue is the slightly out of balance alcohol, but overall, it's delicious.

Feb 15th, 20182011. Falls into the not very crowded category of wines that make you want another taste after taste because you feel like you're missing something, but know you need to discover what that something is. That something is not as complex as you want it to be but is as pleasurable as you need it to be.
