Soft but ripe without being over the top. Hides abv well. Faint savory edge. Juicy dark fruits.

Salted caramel, licorice and green pepper on the nose... Dry, distilled cranberry on the palate. Finishes a little bitter/overly alcoholic for my taste but fairly smooth. Works well with tonight's seasoned pork tenderloin.

Current and white pepper underpin a heavy nose rich with oak and ripe red fruit. A deep and complex palate full of dried cherries, toasted cedar chips and roasted vanilla spice. A superb Merlot, Cab, Malbec and Cab Franc blend.
