A barrel selection wine, the 2016 ‘Thea’s Selection’ shows nice white truffle shavings and cinnamon stick aromatics that mingle with the core of dark fruits on the nose. The palate is round and generous with a delightful mouthfeel. Rich kirsch and peat moss tones combine with the bright sense of minerality and soft texture on the palate. Layered and downright sexy in its youth, the 2016 ‘Thea’s Selection’ will cellar well for a decade or more. Drink 2020-2032- 92

1 person found it helpfulMar 19th, 2020Medium garnet color, typical Pinot nose with a fruit forward aroma and some earth & oak. Fruit forward in the mouth as well, red fruits incl strawberries, raspberries and maybe cherries. Smooth after a little air, low tannins and even acidity with a slightly dry spicy end. A nice wine-

Jan 19th, 2021Really surprised this has such strong reviews. So disappointing compared with the Belle Pente I had last week from the same vintage. This one is thin and flat. Almost tastes watered down. No bright fruit or complexity at all.
