Bright ruby-red. Fresh red and dark berries, cherry, candied flowers and a hint of spiciness on the perfumed nose. Juicy and seamless in the mouth, offering bitter cherry, raspberry and spicecake flavors that unfurl steadily and become sweeter on the back half. Finishes on a juicy berry note, displaying well-knit tannins and lingering spice and floral notes. 30% new oak. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2020)

Medium garnet in color with a mild nose of plum & cherry. Medium body and smooth at first taste but pretty acidic quite quickly. Also some burn down the throat. Still taste the plum & cherry with some oak.

Excellante’ is reserved for top of class and this vino comes close…perfect balance, smooth palate, tannins and acidity right as rain in Willamette Valley. Medium-full bodied, flavorful but darn I don’t taste the esoteric flavors some discern…just a deep dark tasty berry resides in this fine wine.

Enjoyed this more on day two. Nice balance of fruit (mostly red with a hint of black), minerals, and spice. Perhaps a little brawny and oak influenced for me tho (30% new). Red berry fruit with an almost Italian ice / gelato quality. $27

Cherries, a little licorice. Fine sipping on it's own, or a full-on versatile dinner wine. Duck breast and roasted fennel went well. Enough tannins to give it body, but not so much to overpower.

Pinot from the Willamette Valley delivers again. Mild and dry with low tannins. A little fruit forward. Great value for $20.
