This had a beautiful nose of fresh strawberries, roses, orange peel, and fresh sweet porcini mushrooms. The palate was silky smooth in texture, but the flavors edged more bitter and lean with cranberries and citrus pith. I've read that these take a day to open up, but also wonder if it's just hard to get the phenolics ripe in this vineyard. Still a beautiful wine that balances its weight well.
