Uco Valley Malbec

Big powerful wine. Exactly why Argentine wines are world reknown. Could use some cellaring.

A bit gritty for my taste, but a nice wine. Full of raisins. Tightly wound. Needs a few more years.

A little anise. Reminds me of a subtle fernet character. Memories of Harvard and Stone in LA. 👍

Really not a bad Malbec for the price point. Tight flavors of earth, red fruit, & gravel. Leathery, but much more subdued following the Cade. Ash & cassis on the finish. Low acidity.

Chosen from a (very!) limited wine list at our resort (very South American oriented). Dark color, noticeable oak on the nose with a strong backing of dark fruit. Soft body with a medium+ finish. Not bad.
