Of course Pisoni and Franscioni are going to keep the best fruit for themselves. The 2011 is superb. Fresh and lively nose full of red cherries and violets. Light to medium bodied with crushed red berries and lingering finish.

Just a terrific offering from the Pisonis at Lucia. Fantastic depth of flavor and great balance, this wine would benefit from another year or two in the cellar but is really impressive right now.

A deep ruby, the '11 Lucia Pinot Noir 'Garys' Vineyards' is generously perfumed with black cherry, licorice, rose petal and baking spice scents. The expansive palate is flavored with oaky notes of dark chocolate and cherry-cola. Nice lingering finish with a good balance of spicy acid and sweet ripe tannins.
