Pineapple, honey, hazelnut. Lots of oak but still very bright.

2010, my last bottle. A producer I like very much but this has too much oak, not well integrated. The fruit struggles to show.

Pietraincatenata Paestum Fiano IGT 2008 by Luigi Maffini - had with James Hulme at Palma in NYC. Upfront, pear and grape soda, green apple. Perfect amount of salinity and acid, and pleasant oaky finish. Deep dark golden color. Awesome wine!
