Top Notes For
2011 Vintage. This is a real mass market ripasso - not particularly rich or long on the palate but certainly no faults. I had it at a restaurant where it was $40 on the wine list and considerably better than equally priced lackluster Chianti. Clear medium minus garnet (rather pale for the genre). Clean, Nice tar and leather notes and done nice wild tammy character. Medium acidity, medium tannins with leather and cherry on the palate. Not complex but very enjoyable
