I immediately regretted this purchase. Even when a wine doesn't meet my expectations, I can usually find some satisfaction in experiencing a specific terroir. Or in the case of Dave Phinney, at least there is some personality that usually comes through. This wine is soulless, and not in the "I don't care if you like me" sort of way, rather, there's simply nothing there to care. It's an airport restaurant or a rental car with a lot of miles. The wine probably deserves a 90 point rating from a critic, but it should be $15 and not $45 (I paid $32). Sweet, mostly dark fruit, tobacco, licorice, 2x4s, and mouth drying tannins.

A smooth, moderate tannin proprietary blend of Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, and Zinfandel that has flavors of raspberries, bramble notes, and light spices. Reminded me of several northern Washington and British Columbia blends that I've recently had. Paired well with fish, short rib, and a tomato basil soup; very versatile.

A very unusual wine, made by 4 talented winemakers with grapes from 4 elite vineyard sites. It's a tough concept to sell the American AVA. But the wine was delicious, soft fruit flavors with a nice plush mouthfeel.
