2005 Vintage - Was our Thanksgiving dinner wine and didn't disappoint. First had this wine in 2001 at a chateau in France for our 10 year anniversary. Always a fantastic wine for us. You can smell strawberry and a bit of grapefruit as the glass approaches. It's color is a nice red, darker thank Burgandy and lighter than Bordeaux. The taste is smooth and complex, layering licorice and earthiness with the fruit. Off to the second glass!
