Marqués de Cáceres
Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend
Nice blend of black/red fruits, spice, extra time in oak noticeable, needs a little bit of air to settle down. Good length, fruit forward and ripe although not necessarily any better than the cheaper Creansa for me.

Oct 19th, 2017Beautiful red and black fruit, firm tannins, smoked meat, spice box, structure. Reminds us of a good right bank Bordeaux. Obviously could age a while.

Dec 23rd, 2015Tasted Blind. Classic, bright red fruit, medium acid, med tannin (all wood tannin), and loads of American oak. Easy. Much better the 2nd day but not great

Dec 22nd, 2016Pleasant nose - deep and fruity. Full body, rich açaí berry with an interesting sweet top note. Very nice.

Sep 3rd, 2017A thick spicy peppery nose with jammy cherries and some strong alcohol(smells a little more than 14%) maybe a touch of vanilla and cedar in the background.
The brambley jam continues in the palate starting with black cherry and moving to dark berries and cocoa. Intense and delicious. The spices range from baking spice to black pepper to clove.called this a brunello in a blind(I know, not enough acid, and not at all the same now that it's opened up). The bright to dark transition in the palate make me want to keep drinking even though the finish doesn't quit until you're sick of that dark chocolate. Great on its own-better with food.
