I REALLY enjoyed this. Bright plum flavor, followed by chocolate/cocoa powder and pencil shavings. Very drinkable. Can’t to try other Mary Taylor wines.

Nose has ripe plum, mahogany shavings, brown spices, summer blackberries and garden mud.

Palate has plum skin, ripe blackberry, black cherry essence, moist earth and dark chocolate powder.

A nice wine, at $15 one of the better red offerings from Mary Taylor.

Odile Delpon Vigneron. 100% Malbec.
N: Black plums, cocoa, some gamey funk. Almost px in the best way.
P: light on the palate, not clunky!,Bitter chocolate, Blackberries, loam, some red fruit peeking through. Bright acidity and resolved but defined tannins.

N: Second day, big barnyardy/wet sock nose. Cocoa and prunes. Fresh tilled earth.
P: Surprisingly crisp, black fruits and leather, like blackberries smushed on a saddle, cassis. Less acidity than I like.
A nice pairing with cheeses.
Interesting negotiant, some of her wines really shine.

Usually not a huge Malbec fan but this one is nice lightly chilled. Red fruit, tannins, a bit of that Malbec finish but not too much. Dusty. French.
