Les Escures Cahors Malbec

A rather un-Cahors, Cahors. Modern, fresh and juicy. A delicious gulp!

Lovely!

Fluo purple. Like welch juice.

Hard to pick out the flavors in this one but black currant and wet dog (but strangely not unpleasant). Lot of dark fruits, black currant, mild tannins and a dash of bitterness. Powerful and nice wine but not worth the price.

Inky purple, rustic with a soft texture.

Blackberry compote, lavender, iris, black peppercorns. Seductive silky texture, perfect acid/smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, spicy peppery finish. Excels beyond price point, outstanding purple drank.

A biodynamic wonder!

Needed a good 4 hours to really come into it's own. At which point it became an elegant balance of texture and fruit. Not much left by then...
