Dark red purple. Nose and full-bodied palate of black currant, black plum, and mild licorice. Medium minus acidity and medium minus tannins put this squarely in the “new style” New World camp. Not at its best with a meal but should work well with strong cheeses, with a cigar, or as a sipper. Drink now in those situations.

Mar 29th, 2021Nice Bordeaux blend (cab/cab franc/Merlot/petit Verdot). Cherry, cassis, and a touch of blueberry. Some tobacco and tannins. Petit Verdot evident at the finish. good but something is missing/slightly unbalanced.

Feb 3rd, 2022My understanding is that this is a new wine from a partnership between Jim Schwartz and Heidi Barrett celebrating women in wine. It’s great and the QPR is outstanding. Go grab some before the price gets nutty.
2-3 hour decant in bottle. Medium body, cherry, light currant, a hint of chocolate, grippy/grainy tannins poke out a little past balanced (but I liked this), and clean finish. Great stuff!
