Now here's a fascinating and unique wine. Dark golden in color, the wine isn't very giving on the nose, but then I suspect the bottle I was poured from had been open for a day or more. A bit of dried apricot and flowers, along with an oaky, almost scotch-like note. On the palate, a complex mixture of lemon, lemon merengue, saline, salted caramel, white flowers, and some tropical and pink peppercorn prickliness all play together. Complex and wonderful - I'd love to try a fresher glass.
