Didn't really enjoy this one. Tried just on it's own and then with pasta/tomato sauce. Did not pair well. It might have been the fruity start to it. Not for me.

Meh. I was expecting more. This wine is very schizophrenic to my palate. The Petit Verdot really serves more as a spoiler than a good basis for the overall structure and character of the wine overall.

Color of deep purple mixed with bloody red. Nose of coffee and chocolate, cherry, oak and vanilla, flowering notes, berries, crayon, and the nose is plenty. Taste of hickory sweetness, like good quality Syrah, peppery, cherry and strawberry, smooth and low tannins, refined acidity, a bit zesty grapefruit and sprinkled with alcohol note, tobacco leaves, and simply quite tasty. Aftertaste is medium long with pepper and more dark fruits note. Crowd pleaser.
