I walk down to the convenience store up the road and from the selection, this is all I can muster. Had this back in 2013 when I didn’t know a Pinot from a Cab. Stole a glass from the hotel bar and here we are. Let’s try this again.
Fragrance of a farmstead — think fresh hay, not the other stuff. Black pepper. Rose petals. Lemon zest.
More medium bodied than your usual Pinot Noir. Nice mouthfeel. Not bad. Acrid aftertaste, but other than that solid for a gas station selling wine. Definitely a bit peppery. Like the front end. The aftertaste just throws me off.
Now, I’m going to finish watching Fargo, sleep, and head back to the city I belong in. Miss you, New York.
