This was actually the hard to find Russian river Pahlmeyer, 2013 vintage, which my understanding they don’t make anymore. Almost Burgundian nose w/ hints of sandalwood and lots of boysenberry. The palate is intense as endless cascades of rich lush fruit hit you with a strong mid palate but not as racy as one would expect for a 14.5 alcohol by volume... Extraordinarily gooooood!
