Purple, moderately to highly extracted pigment. Raspberry and blackberry notes in nose with a hint of prune. Blackberry flavor with great depth and length, occasional hint of raspberry, good acidity, finish of blueberry seeds and blackberry pulp and rasps. Raspberry and blackberry aftertaste with a touch of seed bitterness. A lot going on here from the initial pour. Paired well with a homemade mushroom lasagna, not too rich or creamy.

Tilted towards the earthy side, truffle, forest floor, violet, ripe blue and black fruits. Irony and orange peel... medium minus acidity, moderate tannin, medium plus alcohol.
