Single vineyard (Fore Family vineyard on Cobb Mountain at 3000 feet elevation).Rhone blend (60% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre).Brilliant dark ruby, medium depth. Very fresh nose with raspberry, flowers and Provencal herbs. Medium-bodied, the fruit is very pure, but not very dense (the difficult year is showing probably). The lively acidity makes this very easy to drink, even if the tannic structure tends to slightly overwhelm the fruit, especially in the finish, that is also a bit short. Would love to taste this in a better vintage. 2011 vintage, 14,6% abv., 25,60 euro.
