A light maroon color in the glass with a thin brim. Cherry pie and raspberry abound on the nose with nutmeg and spice chipping in. This is earthy as all get out. Forest floor, wet leaves, a little light barnyard, and plums round things out. Pretty good balance with really bright acidity, this little Pinot does shine. And by little I mean that the innate thinness is a boon, instead of some sort of syrupy laboratory concoction. Generous on the palate with more cherries and funky earth. A bit of vanilla combines with spice and graphite to make a pleasant pour. That’s exactly what this is, very pleasant. I liked it a lot, it’s a good representation of Oregon Pinot.
