This is now a vintage red table wine, the “non-vintage” and “proprietary” elements in the label are gone. This was the only Arizona wine available at the local Trader Joe’s, so relatively cheap. But how does it rate? Brick red, light to moderate pigment extraction. Cherry and black currant notes in nose. Soft, ripe red fruit flavors, primarily cherry and raspberry, slightly tart finish. Later, strawberry jam and plum flavors emerge. Not bad for a basic red table wine, great value. A good reminder here: You never go wrong drinking local.
