I think this bottle is past its prime for my liking. I was hoping for more.

At home tonight doing ribeye cap. Probably would have shown better a few years ago. I’m going to drink my remaining bottles ASAP.

This had delicate red cherries and plums on the nose as well a slight mineral note. We actually had two bottles of this both were 2011. Strangely the first bottle finished more with pepper and spice and maybe a cola touch. The second bottle was smooth and velvety with luscious darker fruits, hints of vanilla and soil. The second bottle was noticeably different in its presentation and was actually preferred at the table. Mind you the first was still quite good. Just different. Would love to know the science of why but overall it is not that big of a deal.

Fresh cherries, currants and red plum with wet rock, sandalwood and clove. Bright and silky and juicy.

Price was about double what's listed here. But delicious and full. Smooth finish which I liked. With Jeff Niew
