If its a pinot noir, it better come from Oregon. This is R Stuart and company's "big fire" 2013 Pinot Noir. The color is light and clear like a good pinot noir should be. The bouquet is cranberry and spice. The initial palate is a bit sour until it aerates for a good 25 minutes. The initial palate has cherry and apple flavors With a long finish that is dry and almost smokey ! I guess this is why they call it big fire. Not my favorite 20 dollar pinot, but a good choice for something different that you cant seem to get enough of! 10 years ago, I never would've dreamed I would like pinot noir. I was just drinking pinot noir from the wrong state. I highly recommend this one!!!!!!
