Jun 1st, 2019So much fresh fruit and energy for a 51 year old wine. Layers of mushroom and decayed autumn leaves cushion, but in no way overwhelm, the primacy of the red fruit. With air, however, this bottle becomes so bretty that it was hard to see the beauty. The first hour tho - 🔥🔥🔥.

Apr 29th, 2018A bit funky on the nose. With air this opens up. Looks and tastes of its age. Kind of an iron note. Served blind. Guests guessed Pommard. I can’t say I disagreed with their guess even though it was incorrect. Seemed more like Pommard than Volnay to me.
