Result of a Crush
Red Blend
Walla Walla Valley, Oregon/Washington, USA

I was really looking forward to this...i likely have a flawed bottle. Cork break in half as I was removing and its only 2013. Nose was of melted wax and oak. I let it sit for about 45 mins..no relief. Alot of VA..some red fruit, very thin..no savory/olive/smoked meat. I have another bottle...hopefully it hits the high notes I was expecting.

Delish, a guzzler. 85/10/5 Syrah, Viogner, Cab. Took about an hour to loosen up and stretch its legs, but then it really strutted its stuff. Agree with other commenters that it really presents that awesome "rocks" funk for a great price. Mushroomy, sous-bois, wet rocks, and wild flowers on the nose.. palate has lovely red fruits and is like velvet. I feel like this wine would be good friends with George Costanza - a big personality that loves to drape itself in velvet.

Not a lot of love for this wine on the ol delectable. 85% Syrah, 10% Viognier & 5% Cabernet. Have loved most of the ROC wines, typically one of the best values in Washington Wine. 13 feels thin, short on the finish. Not much finish.

Nail polish remover just crushes any hints of red fruit. Disappointing

Some days you need a drinker, not a sipper.

Clear color of burgundy, a bit heavy on the brown note. Nose is like high end Pinot noir, with fragrant wet mushrooms, a bit black pepper, and hint of cranberry note. Taste contains some nice cocoa, and zesty citrus. Aftertaste is decent with some pepper note, citrusy zest, hint of soy sauce. Quite long finish with low tannin. Very refreshing.

Nov 20th, 2017I’ve tried many of Result of a Crush’s wines and have been underwhelmed, unfortunately, this red blend follows that pattern. I found this wine to be over oaked, cheap tasting- I wanted more fruit, less mouth drying tannins, more complexity. Not a great value either in the mid $20s...there are many better options out there in this price range if you are looking for WA red blend.
