Wine workout. Very primary and tight right now. More open on day 2 and flavors of dark red raspberry, orange rind and cedar flow more freely. Hold and let it percolate some.

Jan 28th, 2017Definitely a no holds barred-style PN made by a gifted CS winemaker (whom I'm happy to call a friend).
Once you get past any comparison to Burgundy (which admittedly I as a reference point for PN always struggle with) this is in its own right a great CA Pinot!
Will this evolve gracefully over time?
I have no idea as I drink mine way too fast.

Jan 21st, 2017Very different than the 2013. This was a more supple and easy going wine. Purple fruited and tastes of sweet berry liquor. Very well balanced and has a long finish.

Aug 9th, 2020Mulberry, cranberry, and pomegranate - in youth, the fruit is coming in acidic. Medium bodied, tannins not too aggressive. Look forward to revisiting with age.

Jul 3rd, 2017A touch hot and still young and disjointed, but god damn this is delicious. I'll wait a couple years on my next 2 bottles.
