Huge wine! Blackberries! Spicy, black tea notes. Integrated tannins and acidity helps balance it. High alcohol!

Luscious, rich, succulent. Top notch wine for winter, bbq, or a random Thursday.

This is a Valpolicella blend without Molinara but with some Croatina. Grapes come from volcanic soils of San Briccio Cru, near Mezzane. 2011 vintage brings a richer fruit, oak is less evident, structure, tannins and red fruits are already elegant, now.

Full bodied and rich in the mouth, with blueberry jam, plums, cooked blackberries, black currents, leather, black earth, nice acidity and medium finish. One of my favorite Valpolicella wines.

Way too young to evaluate right now. Nice core of dark plum but all bound up with tannin. Try again in ten years?

Strawberries, black cherry, dried plum, fig, balsam, black earth, tannins++, this could benefit from a year or two laying down. Pair it with flank steak, grilled simply with salt and pepper. Could go well with aged parmiggiano reggiano with a drop of old balsamico. This is a very nice wine, and a great value.

Probably not my first choice a priori for a Mexican meal but it actually worked well with a nice Cochinita Pibil. Lush and full bodied with a layered texture and structure to it. Evidently there are Quintarelli ties here...
