Sean Thackrey
Pleiades XVII Old Vines Red Blend
Always delicious. Blind, would've called modern Brunello; ripe red fruit, orange zest w enough lift to keep it flexible at the table

Apr 4th, 2015Shy at first, but opened up nicely over an hour- good balance. Shows mostly sangio with the body of a pinot, but you can definitely pick out the other varietal flavors in this as well.. Fun bottle- good QPR.

Mar 31st, 2015Nice wine but overrated. Lots of cherries and berries. Some baking space, cloves and earth balance it out.

May 20th, 2017Sean Thackrey, you devil. Light, berries, subtle earth notes. Dare I say, new fave?

Mar 3rd, 2016Oh man, this is my kind of red, ie it doesn't need a plate of lasagne to be drinkable. Cherries n berries but not too sweet or overwhelmingly fruity. Plus Sean Thackery is a big Marin weirdo :)

Dec 9th, 2014Always a fun wine. Who else could get away with a Sangiovese, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre + who knows what else blend, let alone make it shine?
