I was surprised to learn this was Chardonnay. It tasted like a blend of ch and Pinot noir. On the mouth its raisins, pine nuts, almonds, a bit of acidity and fruit. The dried fruits on the mouth remind me of a black grape(would guess PN) , as does the acidity. It's a full bodied sparkling that is heavier than it is complex. You could serve it to most and they would be happy. Still, those who understand elegance might not want to have more than a glass.
